Happenings at First Baptist Church

Relay
for Life
A BIG thank you to all the “Mark” Out
Cancer team members for all your time and hard work and a
special thank you goes out to Linda Jackson & Mary Ann
Yruegas for all their planning and organizing everything
from our team name to the awesome fundraisers. The Enchilada
Luncheon & Auction alone raised a few thousand dollars!
As a team we raised over $7,000 dollars!

This will be our last one before summer.

Baptismal Service
We are blessed again to have 4 young adults come
forward to join the church and request to be baptized. The Baptismal
Service will be Sunday, May 27th.
Awana Wednesday,
May 30th will be the last Awana before we break for summer. Stay tuned
for more info coming soon about the Awana Awards Ceremony
and summer events such a POOL PARTY so stayed
tuned!
Memorial Day
The church office will be closed Monday, May 28th in observance of
Memorial Day. We hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend

Pantry
We’re collecting 2 cans of
Tuna or one large can for the local Food Bank
this month and all donations
need to be in by Sunday, June 17th. We appreciate your
continued generosity.

VBS
June 11th-15th 5:30-8:30pm
VBS is just around the corner and plans are underway. This
year we have decided to run VBS in the evenings so that those
who work can still participate in all the fun. If you would
like to volunteer please contact Linda Jackson (422-4318)
or the church office (422-4559) and let them know. Also,
if you would like to work with a specific age group please
let them know.
